PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distributed constant type coil and a level meter which can meet electromagnetic waves of a wide band and can be made compact. SOLUTION: A distributed constant type coil 10 has a first wire 12A and a second wire 12B wound to a bobbin 11. One ends of the wires 12A and 12B are pressure welded to a circular terminal 16, thereby forming a first lead part 18. The other end of only the first wire 12A of the wires 12A and 12B is pressure welded to a circular terminal 16, thereby constituting a second lead part 19. When an a.c. electromotive force is induced to the wires 12A and 12B by electromagnetic waves penetrating the coil 10, a potential difference is generated between opposing parts of the wires 12A and 12B. As a result, middle parts of the wires 12A and 12B become equivalent to a concentrated constant type circuit connected by a plurality of capacitors. The distributed constant type coil 10 eventually has a plurality of resonance points, absorbing electromagnetic waves of a wide band.
