PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make obtainable a good image by decreasing meandering of an image carrier belt by constituting an image forming device that both edges of a tension roll are each independently hung. SOLUTION: This image forming device is constituted so that both edges of the tension roll are each independently hung. An intermediate transfer unit TU is provided with a driving roll 110, 4 pieces of following rolls 120 to 150, and an endless intermediate transfer belt 160 as the image carrying belt hung so as to be able to be circulated between respective rolls 110 to 150, a cleaning means able to come into contact to or part from the intermediate transfer belt 160 and a secondary transfer roll 180. The following roll 120 is a tension roll and is biased in the direction of tension of the intermediate transfer belt 160 by a biasing means. In this image forming device, the intermediate transfer belt 160 is brought into a hung state when a printing command signal (image forming signal) is inputted from a host computer, etc., to a control part and the tension roll 120 is moved. |
