PURPOSE: A belt folding style groove and a method therefor are provided to easily install a plurality of grooves in a spiral on an outside of a central tensile line or an outside of a slot-road by making each groove a single unit system and to easily manufacture the single unit groove. CONSTITUTION: A bent section(11) comprising a bent pair bent up at a regular angle to the above is arranged to the direction of a member length and separated at an interval enough to place an optical fiber ribbon(20) on a flexible member having a constant width. A folding section(17) comprising a separated pair at a constant interval between the bent sections is arranged to the direction of the member length. A plurality of grooves(15) are formed by putting up the folded member around the bent section(11).
