PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a TiAl intermetallic compd. base alloy having oxidation resistance, high temp. strength, toughness and ductility capable of sufficiently corresponding to practical use. SOLUTION: This alloy has a compsn. by weight, 44.5 to 48.5% Al, 5 to 9.5% Nb, 0.5 to 2% Cr, 0.1 to 0.4% Si, 0.1 to 0.4% Ni, and the balance Ti with inevitable impurities and a two phase structure of a lamellar structure composed of aγ-TiAl phase and anα2-Ti3Al phase and aγphase or a three phase structure of a lamellar structure, aγ-TiAl phase and aβphase.
