PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise and vibration effectively with high reliability by suppressing vibration of a stator caused by radial excitation force. SOLUTION: This stepping motor is provided with a pair of inner engagement members 103a, 103b disposed at both ends in the axial direction of a stator 101, each of which has a first engagement section 102 engaged in an inner face of an end part of the stator 101. The stator 101 is held in the diametrical direction between the first engagement sections 102 and second engagement sections 117 which are formed in a pair of blackets 106a, 106b respectively, and are engaged on an outer face of an end part in the axial direction of the stator 101. The inner engagement members 103a, 103b and the blackets 106a, 106b are formed as separate bodies to have no restraint on the position in the diametrical direction of the blackets 106a, 106b with respect to the inner engagement members 103a, 103b.
