PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight of a rotor to increase the efficiency and the power of a motor by using a material of a small magnetic permeability for the rotor to prevent the distribution of a magnetic flux in the main body of the rotor. SOLUTION: Body 1a of a rotor is made of a material of a small permeability having a small magnetic permeability and a small conductivity. Permanent magnets 2, 3 are disposed around the body of a rotor and then a rotor yoke 1b made of a material of a small magnetic permeability is disposed around the permanent magnets 2, 3 to form a rotor 1. A magnetic flux is scarcely distributed in the rotor 1 made of the material of a small magnetic permeability. As a result, there is no short-circuit generated between each two adjacent basic magnets and therefore the rotor can be reduced in weight and consequently a motor having the increased efficiency can be obtained.
