PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable continuation of refrigerating operation even when a heat source device happens to stop in a refrigerating system of a dual refrigerating cycle applied for a showcase or the like. SOLUTION: This refrigerating system has a first refrigerating circuit 1 for a refrigerating equipment 64 built as dual refrigerating cycle, in which a high temperature side refrigerant circuit 3 and a low temperature side refrigerant circuit 4 are connected through a refrigerant heat exchange 5; and a second refrigerating circuit 2 built as unit refrigerant cycle. Using the above circuits, a liquid piping 15a of the high temperature side refrigerant circuit 3 is connected to a liquid piping 36a of the second refrigerating circuit 2 through communication piping 41, and a suction side gas piping 36b of the high temperature side refrigerant circuit 3 is connected to a suction side gas piping 36b of the second refrigerating circuit 2 through a second communication piping 42. Switching means 43 and 44 are provided to let a refrigerant of the second refrigerating circuit 2 selectively pass through the refrigerant heat exchanger 5 of the first refrigerating circuit 1 through the communication piping 41 and 42.
