PURPOSE: A PCMCIA card is provided to eliminate time delays caused by unnecessary repetition and to increase the system's efficiency by directly saving PCMCIA card's first sector data in the flash memory without going through microprocessor. CONSTITUTION: A PCMCIA card is composed of data port, flash memory controller, and local micro processors. Data port(110) inputs/outputs data to host system(1) and interface department(120) interfaces operation file and the data port's data through control and address signals(ADD1)(CTR1). Flash memory controller(130) reads and writes data on flash memory(140) using writing register(131) according to the control and the address signals(ADD2)(CTR2). Local micro processors(150) control each department, and multiple function device(160) receives data port(110) and local micro processors'(150) data and selects and outputs data according to local micro processor's data select signal(SS). Interface department is composed of operation file register(121) that receives and stores files sent from local micro processors, and a sector buffer(122) that stores data inputted through data port under local processor's control.
