PURPOSE: A muffler apparatus for hermetic rotary compressor is provided to obtain an improved noise reduction effect by significantly reducing pressure pulsation components from the gas discharged from a cylinder. CONSTITUTION: A hermetic rotary compressor comprises a cylinder for compressing refrigerant, a main bearing(31) coupled onto the cylinder, a cover(40) covering a resonance aperture formed at the upper surface of the main bearing, and a muffler covering the upper portion of the main bearing so as to reduce noise from the compressed refrigerant passed through the main bearing. The resonance aperture is formed widely onto the upper surface of the main bearing, and the cover has a plurality of outlet holes(41) formed in a radial manner. The cover with outlet holes has an improved sound absorbing characteristic, and pressure pulsation components of the discharged gas are reduced through the outlet holes. Since outlet holes are formed in a radial manner, uniform noise reduction is achieved.
