Lining tanks

A storage tank 1 such as an underground storage tank for petroleum products and chemicals generally is lined by providing a keying means e.g. by grit blasting, applying a corrosion barrier 5 e.g. glassflake epoxy resin, laying up a pliable glass reinforced plastics material (GRP) 6 onto the corrosion barrier and exposing the glass reinforced plastics to ultra-violet rays to cure the material and form a hardened inner liner shell for the tank. The inner surface may be cleaned e.g. by water jetting prior to providing the keying surface.
