PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the crushing efficiency in one pass to decrease the number of passes in a colloid mill wherein a granular substance is delivered and pulverized by the relative rotation of a pair of the upper and lower disk whetstones, by setting the angle so that the gap between both inclined planes in the whetstones decreases from the center side toward the outer periphery. SOLUTION: In rotating a lower whetstone 2 relatively to an upper whetstone 1 with a drive motor 12 through a central shaft 3, a granular substance fed from a hopper 19 to a central charging section 4 is forced into a granular substance passage 8 with an impeller 9 and introduced into a gap 7 between inclined planes 1b, 2b. At this time, an inclined plane 1b which faces the underside 1a is formed on the underside of the upper whetstone 1 while leaving a horizontal peripheral section 1. On the other hand, an inclined plane 2b which is radially divided by forming the difference in height in the circumferential direction and which faces upward is formed on the upperside of the lower whetstone 2 while leaving a horizontal peripheral section 2a. The angle is set so that the gap 7 between both the inclined planes 1b, 2b decreases from the center toward the periphery, Thus, the crushing efficiency of a granular substance is enhanced.
