PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a degree of engagement of a supporting member with the wall of a slit end and prevent the failing of a cassette by easily detaching the cassette in a simple structure and maintaining the projection level of a stopper projecting on a guide rail when the cassette is drawn. SOLUTION: This device can be set in and off along a guide rail 4 because of a gap between the plate face of a cassette rail 43 and the inside face of a guide rail 41 and is provided with resin sliding members 46 at the upper and lower ends of a plate supporting member 42 for supporting a paper feeding cassette via the cassette rail 43 so that a gap between the supporting member 42 and the inner face of the guide rail 41 can be greater than usual. The projection level of a stopper 44 is thus higher, increasing a degree of engagement of the plate supporting member 43 of the stopper 44 with a slit 45a and preventing the falling of the cassette 3.
