PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup which prevents a suspension wire from being fractured by a fall shock and which enhances a fall shock-resistant characteristic. SOLUTION: A movable part 10 which is provided with a lens holder 3 used to hold an objective lens 2 is supported by a fixation member 7 through a suspension holder 6 by using a plurality of linear elastic members 21. The lens holder 3 and the suspension holder 6 are constituted so as to suppress the resonance of a system which is composed of the linear elastic members 21 and the movable part 10. The linear elastic members 21 have bent parts, and they are arranged so as to be faced by using the objective lens 2 as the center. Thereby, when a fall shock acts, e.g. due to the fall of this optical pickup during its transportation, due to the fall of the optical pickup during its carrying or the like, a shock load is absorbed by the bent parts of the linear elastic members 21. As a result, the shock load which acts on both end parts of the linear elastic members 21 is reduced, and the linear elastic members 21 are hard to fracture.
