PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine human thymidylate synthase(TS) in a specimen with high sensitivity by a simple immunoassay by using a TS polyclonal antibody which is immobilized to an insoluble carrier. SOLUTION: In this method, human TS is determined immunologically by using an antihuman TS antibody. This determining method for the human TS uses, as the antibody, an antihuman TS polyclonal antibody which is immobilized to at least an insoluble carrier. In addition, the method asses the susceptibility to a fluoropyrimidine-based anticancer drug of cancer cells on the basis of a determined result by the determining method. In addition, this kit determines the human TS which contains the insoluble carrier to which at least one kind of an antihuman TS polyclonal antibody is immobilized. Thereby, human TS in a specimen can be determined by a simple immunoassay.
