A lawn mower 1 comprises a lawn mower body 2 with two blades 5,6 set at different heights. Each blade is a cutting cylinder or a rotary blade and either one or both may be adjustable in height. The lawn mower body may include a fan 11 to make the lawn mower hover or alternatively the lawn mower body may be supported on wheels. A motor 9 is connected to a fan to make the lawn mower hover and a vertical drive shaft 10 drives the first and second blades through gears, belts 18 and/or chains. A grass collection box 4 may be mounted between the blades.
