PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the Japanese input system which prevents a KANA (Japanese syllabary)-KANJI(Chinese character) conversion dictionary storage part from unnecessary increasing in data size by automatically registering a specially converted word in a KANA-KANJI conversion dictionary and automatically deleting unnecessary words from automatically registered words. SOLUTION: This system 100 is equipped with a conversion engine 111 which converts inputted characters to KANJI by using the KANA-KANJI conversion dictionary, a special conversion part 112 which performs special conversion according to an instruction from the conversion engine 111 when desired conversion can not be performed by the conversion engine 111 through a converting process using the KANA-KANJI conversion dictionary, an automatic registration part 113 which automatically registers a specially converted word in the KANA- KANJI conversion dictionary when the word is not registered yet, and an automatic deletion part 114 which automatically deletes unnecessary words unused for a certain time from the words registered in the KANA-KANJI conversion dictionary by the automatic registration part 113. |
