PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set/change system constitution information for plural kinds of information processors on the same menu screen with an application program on OS(operating system). SOLUTION: In the processor 1, a system setup utility program 5 reads system constitution information 21 held in a backup memory 2, reads machine kind information contained in system constitution information 21, and obtains system information of system constitution information 21 in the information processor 1 of the pertinent machine kind from a machine kind/form corresponding table 51. System constitution information 21 is analyzed, based on system information, respective pieces of setting information are recognized and setting information are displayed on a menu screen by referring to a menu screen information table 52. When one and above setting information, which are displayed on the menu screen, are set/changed, system information on the setting/change of setting information is referred to and it is reflected on system constitution information 21. Reflected system constitution information 21 is written into the backup memory 2 and it is updated.
