<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyol resin excellent in low temperature-fixing property, offset resistance and anti-blocking property, and useful for a toner of an electronic photograph, or the like, by reacting each a specific bisphenol, epoxy resin, monoester and polyhydric alcohol. SOLUTION: This polyol resin is obtained by reacting (A) a bisphenol of formula I (R1, R2 are each H, methyl, ethyl or phenyl) and (B) a bisphenol type epoxy resin of formula II [R3, R4 are each R1; (n) is >=0 integer] with (C) ethylene glycol or a polyhydric alcohol of formula III [R5, R6 are each ethylene or propylene; (p), (q) are each >=1 integer; (p+q) is 2-10], (D) a monoester compound obtained by a reaction of a polyhydric alcohol with an acid anhydride such as phthalic anhydride, and preferably (E) a crosslinking agent such as diethylenetriamine, and has the monoester compound as a molecular chain terminal, 85-150 deg.C softening point, 50-90 deg.C Tg, 1,000-10,000 number- average molecular weight and a ratio of its weight-average molecular weight/ number-average molecular weight (Mw/Mn) of 2-30.</p> |
