PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To emit a parallel light beam of a required width from an irradiation part of an optical detecting means, related to a part recognizing device of a surface mounting device, while the irradiation part is compact. SOLUTION: An irradiation part of an optical detection unit provided to a head unit to a surface mounting device comprises a light source 40 and an optical system member 41 which makes a diffusion light emitted from the light source 40 into a parallel light beam of a specified width which heads for a light receiving part. Related to the optical system member 41, a curved surface configuration part 42 comprises a function for generating a parallel light as a lens and an optical path part extending from the light source 40 as far as the curved surface configuration part 42 are formed integrally from a transparent material such as glass with larger refractive index than air. |
