SERVER MANAGING MODULE OPERATING METHOD AND DEVICE USING LIVE POWER

PURPOSE: A server managing module operating method and the device is provided to operate the server managing module without time limitation even when the power of the main board is put off by using the live power which is used in a WOL speck. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises a main board, I/O processor, a memory, a CSR, a power switch, a server managing module, and a battery. The method comprises a step of using the live power in order to operate the either net controller(250) in a power off situation(S1); a step of applying the live power to a WOL(S2); a step of connecting the live power to the server managing module(200)(S3); a step of receiving the live power and the power of the main board at the server managing module(S4); a step of selecting the power of the main board(S5); and a step of selecting the live power when the power of the main board is off(S6).
