PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid deterioration of a component by preventing a compressor from being repeatedly interrupted and restarted in a short time. SOLUTION: An electric control circuit of a refrigeration apparatus is provided with a high pressure switch PS activated upon a detection of an abnormality of high pressure of a compressor CM. When the high pressure switch PS is activated, a relay X1 is excited so as to open a normally closed point of contact X1-b cooperating with the relay and the compressor CM is stopped. When the high pressure switch PS is reset, the relay X1 is kept self-held and the compressor CM is kept stopped. When a cam timer TM for controlling defrosting operation changes points of contact, the relay X1 is de-excited, and the normally closed point of contact X1-b cooperating with the relay is closed so as to restart the compressor CM.
