<p>The edging tile is used with main tiles (9) having a curved section (7) with an extension along one side (8). The front edge of the extension which forms the lower edge of the roof is set back from the edge of the curved section. The edging tile has a curved section (2) which only extends fro a short distance under the front of the main tile and a plate (3) which fits under the corresponding section of the main tile. The plate (3) has a lower section (4) at the front and a higher upper section (5). The two sections are separated by a step (6) which is parallel with the front of the extension of the main tile. The step is equal in height to the width of rib on the underside of the plate and is close to the front edge of the main tile. A tenon (10) extends from the lower surface of the plate to ensure that the tile is held in place on a slate batten.</p> |
