摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an optional number of photoelectric conversion units to be connected in series and integrated by a method wherein a structure is formed through a manner where the back electrodes of a first and a second photoelectric conversion unit are isolated from each other by an open groove, and the above structure is repeatedly provided. SOLUTION: For instance, a thin film solar cell is composed of a first and a second photoelectric conversion unit, 401 and 403, that serve each as a photoelectric conversion device unit. The back electrode 461 of the photoelectric conversion unit 401 is electrically connected to the transparent conductive film 422 of the photoelectric conversion unit 403 by conductive material of the back electrode 46 filled into a second groove 405. The transparent conductive films 421 and 422 of the photoelectric conversion units 401 and 403 are insulated from each other by the first open groove 404, and the photoconversion layers 431 and 432 of the units 401 and 403 are also insulated from each other by the first open groove 404, the back electrode 46 is divided in two sub-electrodes 461 and 462 by a laser scriber, and the sub-electrodes 461 and 462 are insulated from each other by an open groove 463. As a result, two photoelectric conversion units are connected in series to constitute an integrated thin film solar cell.
