The cleaning device comprises a cleaning head (2) with preferably rotating cleaning elements (12) that are driven by a drive motor (13), and a pump device (10) that supplies the cleaning head (2) with cleaning fluid that is drawn off by means of a suction device (8). The cleaning head (2) is hingedly secured to a telescopic tube (1). During the cleaning process, the cleaning head is suctioned to and maintained on the surface that is to be cleaned by means of a partial vacuum. The water tank (6), pump device (10) and suction device (8) are accommodated in a backpack that the wearer carries while cleaning. The speed of the drive motor (20) is electronically adjusted to a setpoint value by means of a comparator circuit, whereby a tacho-generator is not required. This substantially reduces the weight of the cleaning head on which the motor is mounted. |
