PURPOSE: A belt for a shoe press and its production method are provided to have the intensity of the machine direction and of the CMD direction, and the size stability of the CMD direction, and to have the excellent productivity. CONSTITUTION: The belt for the shoe press comprises: a first resin layer(2) of the belt(1) formed in the polished surface of a mandrel(M); a detaching agent or a detaching sheet stuck on the surface of the mandrel(M); the smooth property of very inner layer of the belt(1) secured, and the removing property of the belt satisfied by gliding the first resin layer(2) in the state strongly contacted with a shoe(102); a basic fabric layer(3) arranged around the outer first resin layer(2); the basic fabric layer(3) formed by a fabric(P) using a yarn(S) of high intensity in the yarn of one side, and a yarn of high intensity or a yarn(Y) of non-high intensity in the yarn of the other side; the intensity of the width direction(CMD direction) given to the belt(1) by following the yarn(S) of high intensity of the fabric to the shaft direction of the mandrel(M).
