PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image input server capable of confirming whether or not reading is performed as intended by a user at the image input. SOLUTION: An image input server 1 composing a LAN system is provided with an image reading part 12 for reading an image and an image display part 14 for displaying image information when the image information is read by the image reading part 12. When the read image information is transmitted at the image input, the copy of the image information is returned from the transmission destination such as client terminal equipment 2 or a file server 3 and the returned image information is displayed on the image display part 14.
