PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dynamic pressure fluid thrust bearing excellent in lubricating performance, and to easily and reliably form a lubricant groove and the lubricant reservoir on a thrust bearing plate abutting to a rotary shaft in the dynamic pressure fluid thrust bearing and a manufacturing method therefor used for a bearing of a rotary body such as a small motor for FDD and HDD, for example. SOLUTION: An almost circular lubricant reservoir is provided in the central part of the bearing surface of a thrust bearing plate abutting the shaft end of a rotary shaft, a dynamic pressure generating lubricant groove is arranged in the peripheral edge part of the recessed part, and the ring-shaped lubricant reservoir communicating with it is arranged in the peripheral edge part of the lubricant groove. In manufacturing the thrust bearing plate 2 having the dynamic pressure generating lubricant groove 2b and the lubricant reservoirs 2c, 2d on the bearing surface 2a abutting to the shaft end 1a of the rotary shaft 1, the lubricant groove 2b and the lubricant storage recessed parts 2c, 2d are transferred/formed by plastic working by respectively separate metal molds. |
