PURPOSE: A method of automatically controlling a television volume during a telephone conversation is provided to enhance a user's convenience. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of: determining whether a telephone pulse is detected or not(S2); displaying a signal representing that there is a telephone call(S3); determining whether the pulse detecting time is larger than a predetermined time(S4); reducing the volume in case that the pulse detecting time is larger than the predetermined time(S5).
