摘要	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for connecting a hose, capable of easily making a hermetic connection between the hose and a vacuum cleaner and being adaptable to hoses of one or more sizes. SOLUTION: A connector connecting a vacuum cleaner to the end of a hose comprises a threaded body receiving a threaded trunk body. When completely tightened outside the body, the trunk body distorts a specially formed seal 16. The seal 16 grips the outside of the hose in order to form a hermetic seal. The same connector uses different seals 16 and is thereby used for hoses of slightly different sizes.
