PURPOSE: An apparatus for inspecting a cross section of a printed circuit board(PCB) using X-ray and method thereof is provided to make possible a high speed inspection and increase accuracy of the inspection by reducing a time required to restore a cross section image after obtaining a slope perspective image of an inspection area. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for inspecting a cross section of a PCB using X-ray comprises: a position determining portion(20) for determining a position of a board(10) to be inspected and for moving the board to be inspected; at least two image obtaining portions for obtaining a slope perspective image of an inspection area of the board to be inspected; an image processing portion(70) for processing the slope perspective image obtained by each image obtaining portion; and a control portion(80) for controlling the operation of the position determining portion, the at least two image obtaining portions and the image processing portion.
