PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject vaccine capable of stimulating an immunity sufficient for protecting a body from pathogens for a long time without producing a side effect and useful for prophylaxis of tuberculosis, Hanse's disease, etc., by inducing a recombinant mycobacterium expressing an extrinsic DNA encoding a protein antibody and capable of being cultured. SOLUTION: This vaccine contains a recombinant mycobacterium expressing a foreign DNA encoding at least a protein antibody and capable of being cultured. The recombinant mycobacterium capable of being cultured is preferably Mycobacterium bovis-BCG, Mycobacterium smegmatis or its genetic mutant. The extrinsic DNA includes a DNA encoding the protein antibody of Mycobacterium leprae, a Hansen's disease parasite. The vaccine is prepared by transducing the extrinsic DNA encoding at least a protein antigen against each of one or more pathogens into a mycobacterium by the use of a shuttle phasmid.
