PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the leakage of light (white void omission) from causing from the end part of a display effective area on the side of a light source lamp so as not to cause a decrease in display quality even when the luminance of a liquid crystal display cell is kept high. SOLUTION: In this display device, on the lower surface of a light guide plate 5, a scatter reflection pattern part 6 which uniformly diffuses light from the light guide plate 5 and reflects it to the light guide plate 5, is formed by printing and on the lower surface of the scatter reflection part 6, a reflecting layer 7 which reflects the light, is formed. The scatter reflection pattern part 6 is so formed that the end side becoming the side of a light source lamp 8 in a corresponding area 6a corresponding to the display effective area 1b of the liquid crystal display cell 1 is formed in the inside of a specific distance from the end side of the light source lamp 8 in the display effective area 1b and in parallel to the light source lamp 8. Consequently, only the intensity of light irradiated to the side part of the light source lamp 8 of the liquid crystal display cell 1 can be suppressed than before and while white omission being easy to cause on the side of the light source lamp 8 of the liquid crystal display cell 1 is prevented, the intensity of the light from the light source lamp 8 can be set large. |
