<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a butt welding method and its equipment capable of precisely butt welding mutual joining surfaces by controlling deformation even when a first and second blanks to be butt welded are easily deformed by a residual stress. SOLUTION: In a butt welding method and equipment therefor wherein joining surfaces 1A, 1B of a first blank 1 are butt welded to joining surfaces 3A, 3B of a second blank 3, the first and second blanks 1, 3 are respectively clamped and fixed onto a first and second loading bases with a clamp device, and end surfaces of the first and second blanks 1, 3 are sheared to form joining surfaces. Thereafter, the joining surfaces of the first and second blanks are butt welded with a clamped and fixed state held.</p> |
