PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map picture display device capable of effectively displaying perspective by a simple processing and easy composition. SOLUTION: This map picture display device displays a bird's-eye view picture transformed from a map picture and also various marks such as the positions of a building 66, own vehicle, etc., and further, displays a route to the building 66 by a line 64. The upper region 60A on the screen of a display region (picture) 60 is toned down compared with usual on-screen display conditions of the lower region 60B. This upper region 60A of the screen is an upper side of the picture with a fixed with from the upper end of the screen, and is equivalent to a distant view. Since the distant view grows dim or it sometimes becomes hard to see, the part of the picture is differentiated from the usual picture display by making the upper part being toned down, and consequently, it is possible to improve the cubic effect of the bird's-eye view picture without damaging the distant-view display effect. |
