PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily change definitions of a logical structure and to obtain semantics described in data matching the defined structure as the person who has defined the structure intends. SOLUTION: A content model 11 defines the internal structure of a content description 12. The content description 12 contains management data based upon the content model 11. An operation description 13 is combined with the content model 11 and the data in the content description 12 are operated according to the structure of the data in the content description 12. This operation description 13 functions to define the semantics of respective elements of the structure defined by the content model 11. An operation description executing means 21 executes the operation description 13 combined with the content model 11. A structure managing means 22 verifies and manages the structure of the content description 12 based upon the content model 11.
