The vehicle floor is fitted with a slide rail (16) which receives, by longitudinal sliding, a longitudinal guiding and locking device of a base (12) of the subassembly. The end of the base received in the slide rail is fitted with a mechanism movable between three positions by the relative movements of first (36) and second (56) slides. The subassembly includes a securing ring (22) and the vertical movement of the first slide is controlled by vertical manual actions on the ring which is integral with the slide. The second slide is moved vertically by vertical manual actions on an integral gripping ring (68).
