PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently project light which is made incident on the light guide plate from a light source by intermittently forming many grooves which reflect and refract light guided into the light guide plate and slanting the length of the grooves at a specific angle to one side of the light guide plate. SOLUTION: Many grooves G which reflect and refract the light guided into the light guide plate are fold intermittently and the length of the grooves G slants at an angleθ(0 deg.<θ<=±45 deg.) to one side of the light guide plate. The length of the grooves G is arranged at the angleθto the -x direction where a linear light source is arranged. Grooves constituting one array and grooves constituting its adjacent array are arranged shifting by a half pitch (J/2) from each other (a). Grooves constituting one array are arranged at an angleθ1 to an (x) direction and grooves constituting its adjacent array are arranged at an angle D l to the-x direction (b). In either case, the anglesθ,θ1 , andθ2 are 0 to 45 deg. and, preferably,±10 to±35 deg..
