PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a method for applying an adhesive film by which the adhesive film made to adhere to the surface of a material to be joined can surely be left on the side of the material to be joined and a mistake in stripping can surely be prevented when a separator is stripped off and an apparatus for application. SOLUTION: This method for applying the adhesive film is characterized by providing a temperature difference so that the temperature of the surface on the separator side is much lower between both surfaces of the adhesive film prior to the stripping off of the separator in the method for applying the adhesive film comprising making the adhesive film adhere to the surface of at least one material to be joined prior to the joining of the mutual materials to be joined by heating and stripping off the separator while leaving the adhesive film on the surface of the material to be joined. The apparatus for application is provided.
