Diode-pumped solid state laser with resonator-internal frequency doubling and control of the laser emission time characteristics

The laser is switched between regularly pulsed and stable continuous emission modes by the introduction of a doubly refracting optical element in the form of an additional frequency doubler, a quarter wave plate or an element with a three-quarter wave characteristic. An Independent claim is also included for a frequency doubler.
