<p>Apparatus (22) is located between adjacent parking spaces (10a, 10b) to prevent the door (16) of a first vehicle (14a) contacting a second vehicle (14b). The apparatus comprises a 'T-shaped' element (30) and barrier member (24) pivotally connected to the mounting member (36). The mounting member (36) is pivotally connected to a mounting bracket (42) so that the apparatus can be mounted to the floor or suspended from a ceiling. In use the door (16) of vehicle (14a) initially rests against the barrier (24). Further opening of the door then urges the barrier (24) against the neighbouring vehicle (14b) preventing contact between the door (16) and the vehicle (14b). A foam jacket (not shown) surrounds the barrier (24) to provide additional damage protection.</p> |
