PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a V-type engine equipped with a common rail fuel injection system that increases the rigidity of a pair of banks by fixing a fuel pump and a common rail that constitute a common rail fuel injection system between the pair of banks. SOLUTION: Using a space between a pair of banks 2, 3 that constitute a cylinder block 6 of a V-type engine E, a fuel pump 4 is arranged in the front, and a common rail 5 is serially arranged in the back. The fuel pump 4 is fixed with installation bolts to boss parts 53 that are arranged on a surface 50, 51 facing banks 2, 3 respectively. The common rail 5 is fixed with installation bolts to boss parts 54 that are arranged on surfaces 50, 51 via a bracket 36. The rigidity of both banks 2, 3 against displacements in the direction in which the banks open and close is increased, for reducing engine vibration and noise. |
