An ozone generator has first and second electrodes spaced from each other, means for establishing a corona discharge from the first electrode to the second electrode. An oxygen containing gas at a pressure of 15 to 10,000 psia is passed through said corona discharge area. A first chamber filled with a first coolant is in pressure and heat exchange relation to said first electrode, and a second chamber filled with a second coolant is in pressure and heat exchange relation to said second electrode. A pressure equalizing barrier means applies the input gas operating pressure to the cooling fluids in a manner that all the internal cooling fluids follow the input gas operation pressure.
