Adsorption material which can be mechanically loaded without losing water

Adsorption materials, e.g. active charcoal or aluminum oxides, are mixed with water retaining additives in a concentration of up to 2 wt.%. The water retaining additives release the water by diffusion and vaporization. The additives consist of organic copolymers based on acrylic acids, which form hydrogels with varying absorption characteristics.
