The device for a car has a base (10) to be fastened on a body part of the car. The socket carries a lamp holder and a cover disc. The socket bottom has a number of ribs (101-106) designed so that they dampen vibrations of the socket during the travel movement of the car. The ribs include two ribs which extend along the two diagonals of the socket, two longitudinal ribs and two transverse ribs plus four fully rigid nodes (201-204) which are formed at the intersects of a diagonal rib with a longitudinal rib and a transverse rib.
