The invention concerns a method for actuating binder diffusers of a sparge pipe (1) and/or front closure plates dispensing chippings of a diffuser-spreader (2) borne by a vehicle (3). The method is characterised in that it essentially consists in: actuating, in phase shift, the binder diffusers and/or the front closure plates dispensing chippings using means (4) for projecting on the road surface (5), a target image (6) which moves simultaneously with the vehicle; actuating the sequential opening and closure of the binder diffusers using a single control lever such as a joystick.
