PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for rapidly thermoforming with high thermal efficiency to manufacture a uniform molded product having a good external appearance quality without fault such as a molding having a projection and recess part responsive to a pattern or a color, a color change or a remarkably deteriorated external appearance in the case of thermoforming a resin sheet having an area decorated with a pattern, a character or the like. SOLUTION: In the method for thermoforming by using a resin sheet comprising the steps of heating to soften a thermoplastic resin sheet 1, forming it by a vacuum molding, pneumatic molding or the like, and cooling to solidify it; in the case of heating to soften the sheet 1, an infrared ray or a far infrared ray having a peak (λmax) of a wavelength of 2 μm or more is used as a heating source. The sheet is an acrylic resin, thermoplastic polyester resin, polycarbonate resin, polystyrene resin, polyamide resin, ABS resin, a mixed resin of two or more components selected from them, or a copolymer resin of monomers for these resins. |
