PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oil face coating type rust preventing agent composition for imparting various steel plates and aluminum alloy plates stuck with a press oil and a rust preventing oil with excellent rust preventing properties and to provide a method for preventing corrosion. SOLUTION: This oil face coating type rust preventing composition comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of a liquid epoxy resin derived fro bisphenol A and/or bisphenol F, (B) 50-600 pts.wt. of a component composed of a reactive diluent and a phosphoric ester-based plasticizer, (C) 1-100 pts.wt. of a conductivity imparter, (D) 10-200 pts.wt. of a powder polymer composed of an acrylate and (E) 5-80 pts.wt. of an epoxy resin curing agent. The method for rust prevention comprises coating a material to be coated with the oil face coating type rust preventing composition in 50-400μm thickness, primarily heating the material at >=80 deg.C and <150 deg.C and further secondarily heating at 150-200 deg.C.
