<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the life of a cleaning member removing magnetic powders stuck to the outer periphery of a capstan. SOLUTION: A capstan cleaning mechanism 11 is constituted of a cam gear 12, a cam arm 13 driven by the cam gear 12, a cleaning arm 14 interlocked with the cam arm 13 and a cleaning member 15 supported by the tip part 14a of the cleaning arm 14. The tip part 14a of the cleaning arm 14 is operated so as to approach the capstan 1 from an opening 16 provided on the rear surface side of a capstan support base 4. The cleaning arm 14 is driven in the A direction only in an inject mode time and makes the cleaning member 15 press-fit to the outer periphery of the capstan 1. Thus, the cleaning member 15 removes magnetic powders peeled from a magnetic tape 6 struck to the outer periphery of the capstan 1.</p> |
