The device for locking a door in any position comprises a body (1, 2) in which a spring (9) acts on a rod (14). There is a tube (16) and a ground support runner (17). When the user exerts a force on the handle opposing the spring, a square spindle (18) rotates the lever (19) and raises the peg (20) and the spindle (22) fixed to the rod, the tube and the runner thereby releasing the door. The collar (30), by holding the peg, enables the door to be permanently freed.
