PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a synthetic fiber treatment agent that can simultaneously impart antistatic properties, fiber-dropping prevention property and heat resistance to the treated fiber without occurrence of fluffs caused by scum and tar by using a specific (poly)alkoxyalkyl thioalkylcarboxylate salt as an antistatic agent. SOLUTION: This synthetic fiber treatment agent contains, as antistatic agent, one or more antistatic agents selected from (poly)alkoxyalkyl thioalkyl- carboxylates represented by formula I and formula II [R<1> is H, a 1-40C alkyl, a 2-40C alkenyl, phenyl; R<2> , R<4> , R<5> are each a 3-4C alkylene; X<1> -X<3> are each O, S; A<1> -A<3> are each a 2-4C alkylene; M<1> -M<3> are each an alkali metal, ammonium and the like; (p) is 1-100; (q), (r) are each 1-50; (d), (e), (f) are each 1-3; R<3> is formula III (R<6> is a 1-40C alkyl) and the like] and preferably a lubricant in addition. This treatment agent is used as an aqueous solution of 5-30 wt.% concentration and preferably applied to synthetic fibers in the melt-spinning process with the take-up speed of 2,500-7,500 m/min in an amount of 0.1-3 wt.% as a fiber lubricant. |
